Warriors (2-0) are taking on the Trail Blazers (0-1) tonight.

Thoughts about lineups, rotations, schemes, Xs and Os, adjustments, or anything in general?
🚨NEW WORDS🚨

A look at the key tactical decisions that were made behind the Warriors' 137-131 OT win over the Denver Nuggets.

Dubs push the right buttons in crunchtime.

Steph with a brilliant counter to Braun grabbing and top-locking him.

Gets into the paint and comes up the gut screen by Horford for the three.

Off-ball brilliance.
Kerr with the decision to put Draymond on Jamal Murray so they can switch the Murray-Jokic PnR pays dividends. Overtime.
WHAT A PLAY AND WHAT SHOT FROM STEPH
Where were you when Aaron Gordon turned into prime Klay Thompson?
Will Richard you are moving me
Will Richard with the pass breakup when the Nuggets try to sneak in behind the tandem zone
Warriors | "Twirl"

Buddy setting the shuffle screen, coming off of Horford, drawing two, finding Horford in the slip. THJ has to step up and Horford finds Richard underneath. Good action.
Warriors | "Rub" BLOB

Two go Steph after he sets the inbound screen. Horford finds GP2 underneath but AG is there to meet him.

Meanwhile, Steph doesn't stop moving which gives GP2 an out.
Letting Jimmy have a favorable matchup and tilt the defense toward one end of the floor feels like a sustainable form of offense. When second-side action involves a Draymond quick pass to Steph coming off, you're headed in a right direction.
Warriors at the half vs. DEN

ORTG: 127.1
DRTG: 145.8

Struggles at the POA, an inferno shooting performance from Aaron Gordon (7-7 3P), and shoddy defensive execution overall has the Dubs down at half.

A deficit that probably should've been bigger if not for Jimmy Butler.
I've never seen the kind of shooting development that's happening to Aaron Gordon .
Warriors' current SG rotation comprises of a guard who can dribble but seems to be caught in-between decisions, and a guard who knows what decision he wants to make but can't dribble.
Buddy is lifted a tad too high on this "tandem" zone possession and lets JV get middle. Execution has been wonky early.
Not really a fan of separating Steph and GP2's minutes from each other, even for just a tiny bit. It's clear GP2 on offense needs Steph to be next to him. Otherwise he looks... lost.
In typical Warriors fashion, a good start is marred by a series of inexplicable turnovers.
First set of the game is a disguised staggered split action set for Steph. Window dressing to change sides, Steph gets open around the screens for the three.

Good opening salvo from the Warriors. Jimmy 16-16 at the free throw line. Steph had the requisite help he needed but had his usual chaotic effect on offense. JK with 17 points but what moved me was the 9 boards and 6 assists. Dubs defense was mostly on point tonight.
JK offensive board. Steph moonshot from the crypto logo.

That might do it!
This is why Steph Curry as a screener is such a cheat code. I mean look at two defenders completely ignore Jimmy (with the ball!) and stick to Steph lmaoooo
