After being named in Melbourne Victory’s for the Big Blue but ultimately not being selected for the match day squad, Victory boss Arthur Diles says that Nishan Velupillay will be able to play against Brisbane this week.

Says he could feature as a nine, ten, or out on the wing.

Tony Popovic has revealed in his post-game press conference that a virus swept through the Socceroos over the weekend - says the players and many of the staff spent Sunday in bed.

Says it was the players that made the call not to reveal that before the game.
