A "Photographer" who dabbles with silver & light, regularly seen stoating about with a camera.

Avid user of pinhole and panoramic cameras.
I have a drone, I am not very good at it.

Find me on the Lensless & lo-fi podcast.
I know they are much the same 2 lots of images. (sequential)
I spotted them on the drive this morning and thought I would share the bendy world that is the widelux. Everything you see here is straight unless you throw in a widelux.

Seeing a video of a drone crashing into a pier, made me think of this image taken on my @realitysosubtle.bsky.social 4x5z during my last visit to Coney Island.
I had to press & hold the mini tripod I had with me against a pillar for the exposure.

Yeah that was bad on there.
You could filter it out, but I only found this out by the time it had driven me to distraction

I just ignore trends.
Unless I am interested they are irrelevant 😉

It is a truly different film when you under expose and bring it back to life in development.
It seems to take on a richness and depth you rarely see on film these days.
It can be a bit of a challenge when presented by far more black. Mind you but if a balanced exposure is had it is lush

This is not bluster, this is a man with low iq early dementia, penis envy problems alongside extreme white elitist entitlement, wrapped into a nasty cunt who has no moral guide at all.
He’s just a nasty piece of work who’s looking to settle scores before he’s dead

Can you imagine how much he is going to demand from this country in exchange for deposing a president no one asked him to depose and installing an emergency government no one asked him for..
Land minerals or whatever he wants will be his price. He ain’t doing it for free…

2/2 so I can use the 24mm lens I have for that, plus I want to use the German made 1:1 60mm macro on a camera it’s more balanced on, just to see how it is.
And I have an adapter for Nikon to canon fd to bring some of my fd cameras back online with shifting ability.

1/2 Recently I have been stoating about with a 3:2 eos1n and finding a slightly renewed love for the format with the perspective control Nikon lenses on.
I do love my 1n and rarely has it had the 17-40 off.
But a 28mm with 11mm shift is finding a way into my heart.
I have ordered a contax adapter

Could you imagine in 1965 rolling down the new M6 and seeing this the Forton Services for the first time.
Image taken not long after it opened. It is one of many thousands of images I have in my collection ranging from glass plate negs from the 1800's to slides into the 1990's.

A fully utilised underside of a bridge in Glasgow.
Looks a bit like a pretend car lot here.

Given the rise of AI and it's ability to write code, how are you feeling about the future in that line of work? My assumption would be that embracing and utilising it to help you could be the key. Pushing it aside especially at the lower coding level jobs might be risky. (No idea of your level)

The Met Tower.
Scheduled to be converted to offices. Funding or botherment dried up.
It currently sits as an edifice of decay with People Make Glasgow signs slowly rotting off the windows.
Perfect showpiece for this years commonwealth games.
It will now be converted to student blocs 😡 #xpan

I would say you should seek help,
Many people on here would be winning to share your burden by adding your collection to their smaller ones 😂

if my wife ever says I have too many cameras, I will point at this and say.... really :-P

2/2 there is something very different about that shifted view without relying on software that makes it a wee bit special

1/2 I do love perspective control lenses

I see a repeating pattern.
So open the camera and look for that pattern.
There will also be light hitting that same thing, whether that’s a problem or not is to be established after you open and find the pattern.
please post images of the open camera the film plate looks like a suspect (26)

3/3
I can't remember the context for it but from memory I captured the people in places they were comfortable in, be that a workplace or where they met to sing.
All using the available light.

The only thing that sticks in my head currently about it is the call to engage me, it came in a 5am NYC time (to me) when I was fast asleep.

1/3 Happy New year to you all.
I was doing a wee bit of file housekeeping I came across these:
A few years ago the National Theatre of Scotland asked me to do some portraits of one of their choirs for an upcoming exhibition in a local gallery / museum / community space.
