Ghost of John Locke

Always in the pursuit of happiness; seeking a balance of looking out for others and minding my own damn business. Willing to drink for it.
Never trust a self-proclaimed king or one who thinks they hold such power to reign supreme.

"Power entrusted to the unskilled is a peril to any nation. Government's aim is to preserve rights and serve the people, yet what wisdom can be expected from those untested in governance? Authority without merit is a breach of trust. #Accountability #Governance"

Government should serve the people—not the other way around. Too often today, we see rulers who forget this principle, prioritizing their own interests over the common good. Let us remember that the law exists to preserve liberty, not to stifle it. #Government #PublicGood

The corrupting influence of power is timeless. No one is immune to it—not kings, nor elected officials. History is full of those who sought to govern justly, but fell prey to the temptations of unchecked authority. We must guard against this at all costs. #PowerCorrupts

In a just society, governance must be based on reason, and science is its best ally. Those who dismiss empirical knowledge do so at the expense of the people's welfare, undermining the very foundations of democratic rule. #ScienceMatters #DemocraticValues

What more do you need to know to be assured this King’s reign is doomed and will eventually lose consent of his governed? Where is the umbrage over his announced appointments? I’m thinking you might find it somewhere between tapping the Pillow King as Secretary of Commerce & it’s too damn late.

Your faith may be true of mind but forcing it on others through governance makes it neither any more true nor any more true to their mind. Tolerence is not acceptance as much as open mindedness, not as a faith forced but a freedom you want for yourself and allow for others.

The Founders bettered my intentions with their “…pursuit of happiness” rather than my own scribed “life, liberty and pursuit of property”. Brilliant egalitarian sentiment! So America, the shit that’s about to go down? That’s on you for believing in my words and giving up on your own. Buckle up.
