The Pitch:

Due to budget cuts, new high school teacher Jules Clark’s dream job is in jeopardy before it’s even begun. With each department set to get rid of a new teacher, Jules must compete with the annoying(ly handsome) former lawyer, Adrian Pierce, to keep her place. Where she finds herself in over her head, he seems to breeze through it all. He also pops up everywhere, from heated encounters in the copy room to a tension-filled work karaoke league, culminating in an assignment to collaborate on a joint teaching unit.

As they spend more time together, Jules realizes she and Adrian have more in common than she realized, including a simmering chemistry that becoems impossible to ignore. She eventually lets Adrian in, but worries that with one job and two of them, things can only end in disaster. As December looms closer, old fears of not being good enough consume Jules. If she lets them take over, she could lose it all—not only her job, but also the love that’s right in front of her.

Schools can do many things to help children stay and feel safe.

The problem for schools in the US is that they are in the US, where we aren’t able to keep children safe anywhere from the threat of gun violence, a leading cause of child death.

This is not a school problem. This is a gun problem.

What I do care about is the silence of multi-millionaires & billionaires as actual teachers consider how to pay for groceries while praying we’re not gunned down at work or arrested for teaching books.
