Would it be such a bad thing? Tesla revolutionised the car industry, by making better EVs. Their battery storage helps at a home and grid level. Maybe they could usher in new technology leading to better electricity distribution.
Makes perfect sense. So why is it so hard to persuade people that the minor feature request from 4 years ago should just go on the never pile, so we don't waste another second discussing it?
I think many of us would be happy if the EU requirement for lane keep assist was removed. This would save the annoyance of turning it off, to make driving on narrow country lanes safer. It would also make cars simpler and hence cheaper to buy and cheaper to maintain.

I watched this and saw a vision of the world we could have had, or maybe could have. However, reading the comments, it seems that most people took a rather different view! A clear example of how social media can be so easily used to create division and hatred.
Good question! My understanding is that they are doing this because they will be fined for each vehicle below their legal quota of EVs for each year. Some manufacturers are making EVs that people actually want to buy, and so have no issues. However others are making EVs that just aren't worth buying
Has this data come from DVLA registration or some other source? I see a few people highlighting a large number of pre-registered EVs, which have yet to be sold and so are not in use on the road yet.
