He seems to be saying that international minutes are determined by the club, which is an unusual stance for an international manager to admit to publicly.

I guess that means he doesn’t mind if we pick and choose Elanga and Krafth’s availability for World Cup Qualifiers.

I thought there were rules for what players aren’t allowed to do on their holidays.

I mean I’m all for them going on a group holiday to Serbia, but they need to be a bit more careful about their sporting activity when they have a proper match to play next weekend.

If there is one thing this summer has shown, there are idiot fans of both teams.

I genuinely think NUFC haven’t been doing much of that kind of thing, but I say that as a criticism of NUFC not LFC.

Our management (whoever that is) need to grow up a bit if we are going to compete with the top teams

Notice I didn’t say anything about being a mouthpiece & said earlier I didn’t have a problem with LFC doing any of this.

My point was that it is disingenuous to say that, when journalists come out with info that helps LFC, it is all coming from the agent.

If NUFC aren’t doing it, they should be.

I have to admit, I’m not at the “wishing him well” stage yet, but I don’t intend to waste energy getting worked up into a fury about him either.

I just hope that this can be the kick up the backside so those at the top of the club can get a bit more focus.

None of us can know about Romano, but George Caulkin described protocols the Athletic have for stories, requiring them to have at least 2 sources & speak with both clubs before they can publish.

Given that, it is hard to imagine that some of Ornstein’s stories were not at least blessed by LFC.

I think there is a difference between LFC not liking leaks and actively planting information which helps their cause.

I don’t have a problem with that by the way, clubs are going to do what they have to do, but I think it would be disingenuous to say that they have not been working with Romano, etc

In all honesty, I think this is just something we need to wise up to. It is the off field equivalent of the sh*t housery that we revel in when our lads do it on the pitch.

I don’t like it but, if we are going to compete with the big lads of European football, they all do it so we need to learn.
