I had the chance to speak with new HSP recruits earlier this week, bright and mission-driven future officers who will make a difference for those we serve. It was another inspiring reminder of what the best of law enforcement can and should be.

I am incredibly proud of the men and women of the NJ Human Services Police today and every day. Their dedication, professionalism, and compassion set them apart.
👮🏾👮🏻‍♀️ On #LawEnforcementAppreciationDay Commissioner Sarah Adelman honored NJ DHS Police: "Their work goes beyond traditional law enforcement duties & I commend their mission to those in our society who are most at risk. I'm grateful for every officer who has taken on the responsibility."

- 36% increase in checkouts
- 19% increase in digital checkouts
- 15,334 new library cards were created
- 1,600 new users of Libby/Overdrive, the BCLS’s digital catalog of online programs, collections and services
- 57% reduction in the list of lost items

We believed late fees and fines created a barrier preventing families from utilizing BCLS, so it’s gratifying to see cardholders who were inactive for years are returning to discover all the programs, services, and resources the library offers.

The Republican spending bill – championed by my opponent @Jack4NJ – guts funding for this essential program.

Appreciated the chance to speak with @njspotlightnews.org ‬⁩ about the devastating cuts to Medicaid.

Kicking 350,000 off NJ FamilyCare isn’t eliminating fraud, waste and abuse - it’s funding tax cuts for the wealthy on the backs of NJ families.

On the 249th anniversary of its signing, I keep thinking about the aspirational nature of the Declaration of Independence. Making good on the promise that all men and women are created equal and endowed with inalienable rights is more important than ever.
