Catholics in Mexico and Catholics in the U.S. aren’t the same experience — and that difference matters. I’m hopeful change will continue, but it won’t happen without people calling for reform.

It’s encouraging to see change in some places — Mexico’s Catholic culture often feels more inclusive to me.
But let’s be clear: some U.S. Catholic communities are still led by people pushing exclusionary, white-supremacist ideas. Those leaders need to be removed , not more power.

I used to avoid church because many priests were low-key hateful toward gay people. That hurt because from a young age they thought me Jesus was love and their message didn’t align with what i expected the church to be.

Went to my cousin’s wedding yesterday — Priest surprised me in a good way. They updated the coin ritual so both partners exchange coins instead of one person giving them. Thoughtful.
The sermon was uplifting and didn’t shame anyone — refreshing. I approve.

Honestly, I still watch a lot of kids programming. I enjoy a good wholesome story that doesn’t have to many triggers. So I’m annoyed they are JRficating channels like Disney and nick. Give me my family shows.

Look, if I become a tv executive one day I’m producing child programming but that serves the entire family like Nickelodeon used to , I don’t like this toddler programming they trying to pass as Disney channel. I literally can’t even stand the aesthetics.

I can still rewatch Wizards of Waverly Place and it doesn’t feel like a Disney Jr. show.

Our gen of Disney/Nick teen stars actually felt teen — not like preschool mascots.
These new “teen” shows are straight up for toddlers.

I should have asked my grandma for another pill before the wedding party. She gave me a pill early for the church, and I felt great after the terrible hangover I had. However, by the time of the party, the hangover’s effects kicked in again, and I didn’t even want to go dancing.
