Looks like something right out of Star Trek's engine room! Plasma inside the ST40 fusion reactor, filmed in color for the first time.

What inspections are these? Are their any safety concerns? For context I plan to visit up there in a few weeks.
Simple common sense advise worth stating. Do not buy from brands that do not even have a website. Bonus advise: do not buy from brands that don't even offer a 1yr warranty. It's going to be literal junk.
Kmart was an oddity for sure... it was like a budget Target.
Oh, random tip, if you ever need to replace a toilet, get one with a modern 'pressure tank' (e.g. Kohler highline pressure lite). Got my old one replaced yesterday as it was leaking and now it flushes now like a beast!! 🐉 #homeimprovements
MASH was such a gem with dynamic characters. While Major Winchester had an ego the size of the Sun, but he still had his virtues to defend and support those in need.

It is deeply true that nothing is ever the same as it once was. Change is fundamental to life. We are [and will always be] great travelers, even if we can't comprehend it.

At this point the 2006 movie Idiocracy was a documentary...

My your AI rhyme to you
Wouldn't it be amazing if we end up being able to decentralize AI hardware by using simple-to-make analog hardware? 🤯

There's one thing that Ann Arborites agree on: we really books. Also hidden fairy gardens.
Library Vote
After a heated race marked by legal disputes, lawn signs, and fervent online discourse, voters cleared the way for an expansive new downtown library. Read the full story here annarborobserver.com/library-vote...

Proposals A and B both got about 58 percent of the more than 23,000 votes cast.

One of the books I revisit every year is Nonviolent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg (a Michigander prison psychologist).

Beyond the title, the book is a pragmatic guide for how to foster meaningful conversations. It's so good that it's a new required reading at Microsoft.

Powell: "GDP growth has slowed notably in the first half of this year, to a pace of 1.2%, roughly half the 2.5% pace in 2024. The declining growth has largely reflected a slowdown in consumer spending ... higher tariffs have begun to push up prices in some categories of goods."
The only things that stay the same are the dead. Even then, the form undergoes eventual changes. Let nothing stop you from living your best self.
Kids that haven't read enough of Nietzsche come away with the surface idea that he was against virtues, but his basic critique was the problem of holding onto social rules that prevented developing a healthy body and mind.

Nietzsche constantly virtue signaled: like on abstinence and exercise.
If you met another game player character who was entirely controlled by GPT-5 / Gemini / Grok and it responds to social banter, develop new behaviors, and can coordinate well as a team member, do you consciously consider the LLM player a PC or NPC?
Notably this is why I don't enjoy theme park games and prefer open-ended (or sandbox) games. I absolutely WANT to find tactics to break the player rules/norms of the game world in order to play as my preferred character type. Notable sandboxes: Ultima, Minecraft, Terraria, GTA
If NPCs are programmed to follow the rules, then maybe PCs are all about bending or breaking them. This raises a good question: What's the real difference between a heroic PC and an equally heroic NPC? A player can toss the rulebook and scripts to stay true to their own character.
sigh, I do miss your The West Marches campaign from back in the day. It had a really nice blend of campy and weird.
