The New Hospital Programme now has a more realistic timetable, with final hospitals due in 2045–46.
But for RAAC-affected hospitals, a tight construction schedule with little contingency for delays means there are significant delivery risks.

Buses are the most used form of public transport but passengers have seen services reduce and the commercial viability of the sector has weakened. Financial pressures on local authorities have led many to scale back their transport planning and delivery capacity.

We tend to think the National Audit Office will criticise projects that don’t succeed as a waste of public money.
