I just read the most excellent, again, opinion piece by Ezra Klein in the NYTimes, one of the perhaps three voices in their opinion section whose pieces are always 100% spot on. The others are Tom Friedman and David French ( yes, I know he’s a Republican). This piece should set trumplethinskin afire
I can commiserate. A local Indian fusion place, that just closed because of a lease issue, was making their portions about 1/3 smaller and way oilier for the last 18 months. Also used only plastic containers even though they’re banned here. Also charged 1/3 more. $26 for a butter chicken curry?
The restaurant where I order my poke bowl changed their ingredients and upped the price. So I get less fresh food, more ultra processed crap, AND I have to pay more for that 🙄

So, apparently, Trumplethinskin has promised a $2,000 dividend check for all Americans, except the high earners. Bessent hedged against it and said this, which blows my mind: “The $2,000 dividend could come in many forms such as the no tax on tips or social security”. No taxes doesn’t mean dividend

“It’s technically a nor’easter but it’s too warm for snow”. Hey, NYTimes, here in southeastern New England, Nantucket to be exact, we get nor’easters year round so they’re not specifically a winter kinda storm. In fact, in our 12.5 years here we’ve experienced more spring and autumn nor’easters
