Saw The Room Next Door. I recently lost someone to cancer who was also part of an immunotherapy trial, so felt irritated by the aestheticization and self satisfaction of Swinton’s performance (so much cashmere!). But then it got better. It’s about how to have volition and choice in one’s own death.

Just listened to Tom McGuane’s short story “Miracle Boy” from his collection, “Cloudbursts.” It was so funny in its accurate description of a southeastern Massachusetts Irish family’s dynamics.
