This week, the world lost one of its greatest teachers: Dr. Jane Goodall. Jane taught us that the antidote to despair is action — that we must keep working for a better world, even when the challenges feel overwhelming.

I’m proud of our incredible team that makes these programs possible. We built the largest service organization in the country (bigger than the Peace Corps!) thanks to @gavinnewsom.bsky.social’s leadership. We’ll keep building on this success so every Californian has a chance to serve and succeed.

We have got to get back to where we were as a nation following 9/11, when we were united and we were one community. On the 24th anniversary of that awful day, let’s all recommit to caring about each other again and realizing that we are one nation, one community. #california #community #911
Housing costs too much, homelessness remains a crisis, and working Californians can’t afford to live in the communities where they work. As LG, I will push to build 1 million homes on underutilized public lots.

Democrats need to elect a new generation of leaders. It’s not about age—it’s about fresh ideas, fresh energy, a fresh vision—and something voters can get excited about. It’s also our best shot to create the actual change we need. #Democrat #California #Politics #Fryday4LG
Texas Republicans are so scared of the mid-terms that they are trying to rig it, change the redistricting process and install a permanent Republican House majority regardless of what the voters decide. If they’re so hell-bent on taking this path, we have to be ready to fight fire with fire.

Last week Governor Newsom signed an important executive order to expand pathways to educational and service opportunities for young men. As the father of three boys, I recognize just how important it is for them to serve, give back and be a part of something bigger than themselves.
