I remember seeing Tomas Nido of all people walk off a game after 13 innings (funny enough against the Tigers) in 2019 with my friends and like.....no one needs to see that come on let's be real here. The playoffs obviously should not have the ghost runner but it's fine for the regular season

For sure, I mean I think most people are way too results oriented vs. process oriented, that becomes even more magnified with a sport like baseball which is both so individualized and whose postseason is so ridiculously random
