I'm just a Librarian, trying to live her best life. I love reading, hiking, museums, good food, and my dogs Jack & Sylvie. Follow me on StoryGraph @jft. Currently reading We Were Once a Family by Roxanna Asgarian.

I recommend To & Fro by Leah Hager Cohen. Two books in one that can be read in either order or at the same time. All you have to do is flip it. I loved when the two stories met in the middle. Truly, one of the best reading experiences I've had. I give it a 4.75. #booksky #πŸ“šπŸ’™
I really liked this book. I hope you enjoy it!
I finished my first Leigh Bardugo book and I loved it. Fantasy, adventure, romance, history... It has all my favorite things. I give it a four. Are there any other Leigh Bardugo books that others can recommend? #πŸ’™πŸ“š #booksky #fiction
Meet Sylvie, the newest member of the household. #puppy #dogs #pets
You need to watch the new South Park Episode. I swear, I was watching television history. #southpark #hetrumpedus #sermononthemount
I finished Combee by Edda L. Fields-Black. It won a Pulitzer for history and it took me about a month to finish. If you are interested in a heavy and researched book about an important part of the civil war that is less talked about, then give this a chance. 3.75 stars out of 5 #πŸ“šπŸ’™ #nonfiction
Jack is always a distinguished looking gentleman #pets #dogs
Just finished The Wedding People by Alison Espach and I loved it. It is a dark comedy/dramedy that is touching. Many moments where I actually laughed out loud. #πŸ“šπŸ’™ #booksky #fiction
I am so disappointed in this Administration and its blatant disregard toward libraries, museums, and other public services. Carla Hayden deserves better than the treatment she was given, and I hope we all can continue to do what we can to fight against this dismantling. #libraries #libsky
Finished Soldiers and Kings: Survival and Hope in the World of Human Smuggling by Jason de Leon. It's about those that help and profit from smuggling migrants from central America through Mexico. It's incredibly relevant, challenging, and eye opening. 4.5 stars. πŸ“šπŸ’™ #booksky #nonfiction
Finished A Walk in the Park by Kevin Fedarko. It's a solid 4 stars. If you like non-fiction books about long distance hikes, then you may want to give this a try. Peppered throughout the book is the geology and human history of the Grand Canyon. πŸ“šπŸ’™#booksky #nonfiction
Just finished Anita de Monte Laughs Last by Xochitl Gonzalez. Great read! I would give it 4.5 stars. It was a slow start but I loved where it ended. I really resonated with the main character #booksky πŸ’™πŸ“š

Collecting these cut outs for a library program has been fun, especially after hours when I mistake one for a person out of the corner of my eye.
I would give it a 4.5 out of 5. I found it engaging and the author challenges my views and gave me new perspectives. I think it was gutsy in the way he reimagined the tale of Huck Finn through the eyes of the character Jim, who becomes his own hero.
I haven't read Huck Finn fully, only passages, and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's a reimagining of the original book and it may benefit the reader to be familiar with the original text, so they may understand the author's intentions of giving Jim more agency.
This book was marvelous. πŸ’™πŸ“š#booksky
My dog almost looks like a stuffed animal.

I don't get a lot of snow where I live so this was a welcomed sight!
Live music in the library? Yes, please. Artist: Allie Taylor.
Omg, I haven't thought of Killing Mr. Griffin in so long. It's like a memory unlocked.
If you want to give yourself a good laugh, listen to the Kidz Bop's version of Chappel Roan's "Hot to Go!"
Currently reading The Eyes & the Impossible by Dave Eggers on lunch break. #booksky
