Old pocket Venus, married almost 50 years. Democrat, chocolate freak, British tv and writers, gardening, secret optimist, champion complainer. Leaving the bird. A dear friend’s profile, now passed, was one word. Bitter. Adding that in her honor.
Out for a bit today. Seems to be more flags around the neighborhood. Home Depot had two very large flags flying from the front of their store, also a banner saying they supported veterans’ causes in, I believe, we were zipping by, the amount of $750M. SM is an echo chamber. Heads up. Look around.

February coming on fast. Best memories are snow, making hearts out of red construction paper and white lace doilies, no school on President Lincoln and President Washington’s birthdays, the 12th and the 22nd.

Ran into a favorite springtime photo. 💜

Yesterday I was way off balance, not vertigo, just the ms thing where there’s no solid ground. So naturally I decided to cut my hair.

It did not turn out well. Sigh.

Had a chocolate dipped vanilla ice cream bar, 365 organic I think. Picked off half the chocolate, aiming to save calories, ate the ice cream then ate the chocolate I’d picked off because it’s real dark chocolate. So that effort was pointless. 😂

Too full for her olive oil chicken because she’d already had stock chicken and a bite of my burger. We’re keeping each other warm.

Couldn't see well enough to know what it was. Phone really helpful. Silverfish has a lot going on there.

You know how I know my husband is older now? He went to the car wash. And he paid for an oil change.

Posted the other day a quote from a woman in Edina who said we’re all immigrants. My mistake, of course we are not. Slaves were kidnapped and forced to come here with no rights, no citizenship. How very white of me.

So don’t let them in, Italy.
It’s not hard.
It’s YOUR country and you have every right to refuse any undesirables into YOUR country.
1/ Italy is watching the US export its worst habits. Trump’s America wants to fly ICE; the same agency that just killed 2 ppl in MN, into Milan to “help” with Olympic security.

Italians are asking the obvious question: who invited this militia? #Voices4Victory #DemVoice1 #USDemocracy #ProudBlue

My beautiful strong friend made the enormous mistake of showing me she can do this. A new spot for Princess Anne.

Having 5 All My Loving transferred from Pasadena and 1 from Long Beach to local Armstrong. Only ones available in So Cal.

Have to stand on a stool to de-scuzz the stock. Could have used a regular pot because only 5 pounds of legs, brought out big mama out of habit. I spent decades making stock with all the veg and herbs but finally, finally realized I put all that in the soup. So chicken, acid, water, salt, 8 hours.

The way any Democrat “earns” my vote begins with them being a Democrat and voting with Democrats. I don’t need to “like” them on an individual basis. The majority will do the right thing and if they go along that works for me.

Life isn’t perfect you stupid undeveloped narcissistic buttheads.

Husband gets up and walks in the dark. Sometimes he’ll take a little nap after. I rousted him, told him he was late for appt, by the time he was dressed and leaving he realized it’s tomorrow.

My bad.

Gonna be lonely when he leaves me.

Ordered a bird feeder, local store way too costly. Did buy seed there, combo of black sunflower and peanuts and something, I forget, for the doves. Other than feeding birds, hope is they’ll notice the grasshoppers and return the favor. Tree branches too high. Shepherd’s hook. Where to hang. Hm.

Need to get up to start the stock for soup tomorrow. Seriously, though. 🥰

I know I said I’d temporarily cease complaints because so many are in dangerous weather but am failing in my resolve.

I wait all 3 seasons for some peace, to turn off the a/c, to not be fried by the sun, to not have to water every 5 minutes. But no. We should be low 60’s.

A few errands. Fried. Someone’s happy I’m home. Ok, me too.

Called on a recommendation for lawn aeration, he ended his voicemail with god bless. Nope. Won’t hire, that’s how fed up I am with this shit. God and the flag. Instant dequalifiers.

Faith is fine but don’t use it as a secret signal for business.

I had the best day. Sophie’s mom came over and we worked in my back yard together. She did all the hard stuff. It was so nice. Little cat would have been ticked if I’d been out there alone but since I was with her competition she’s being adorable so I’ll love her more than my friend. Not kidding.😂

“We’re all immigrants and we’re sitting on native land.” Damn straight.

In her kitchen box while I make breakfast. This is a very complicated cat, wears me out. She does enjoy music, but only certain music, especially in the morning. No, I’m not nuts, she is.
