A "Mini-Weber Smokey Mountain" at work: a Weber Smokey Joe with a modified tamale pot. The grill's dampers have also been modified with bolts and champagne corks to act as insulated handles. A tamale pot with the bottom mostly sawed out. The lid damper of a Weber Smokey Joe with a hole drilled out of the stock handle. A Weber Smokey Joe lid with the damper modified with nuts, a bolt, and a champagne cork through the stock handle. The lid has also been modified with a hole drilled on the opposite side of the damper and a Lava Lock temperature gauge installed.

Not every project ends up requiring electricity: converted a Coleman Steel Series cooler into a jockeybox during the summer of '20. Currently borrows parts from my kegerator, but I'll probably order it its own set of parts is in the near future.

A defiltered Raspberry Pi camera with (I think) a M12 adapter, encased in a long rectangular 3D printed enclosure/mounting bracket. A door with its stock peephole lens replaced with a similar looking lens but made for small cameras. 3M Command hooks for holding door decorations are on either side of the lens. Back in 2019 you might actually want to know that the White Sox were on. I created a REST API sensor in Home Assistant that hit MLB's REST API and was on/off whether the team was In Progress, triggering a Sonoff Switch attached to a "Let's Go [TEAM]" stoplight:

Before Airplay 2 was A Thing and iOS had yet to implement mulitple-Airplay send, I took an unused Android tablet and full-sent to various Airplay 1 nodes around our condo using AllStream.

First project up: my mini-fridge to Kegbot conversion.

A Sanyo mini-fridge with a Raspberry Pi, a Kegbot device, flow meters, NFC card reader, a relay, and LED circles on top. Two 1/6 barrel kegs inside a mini-fridge semi-converted to a kegerator. The inside of a mini-fridge kegerator conversion with tubing routed and two 1/6 barrel kegs tapped. The top of a mini-fridge-to-kegerator conversion with two branded tap handles, a drain, side bars, and a Raspberry Pi with mini-display showing how much beer is left. All in a garage in front of a water heater.
