Spousal creature, and house cryptid living in Winchendon MA. I like to cook, make video games, art, and things with my hands. Don't expect me to post here that frequently.
I have uninstalled the @bsky.app app from my phone, as there was no resolution to this issue. Fix your shit @bsky.app

I've been having issues with the @bsky.app app logging me out every day, sometimes multiple times a day, and I'm tired of logging in again with my long password. So I guess I just won't use this on my phone, which to be honest, is half the draw.

All in all, I love these headphones. The OpenRun Pro 2 are a great step forward, and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for open ear headphones that use bone conduction.

My second issue with the Aeropex was just how loud the notification sound was. It was max volume no matter how loud you were listening to things. The new pair allows you to turn it down in the app, making it a sane volume level.
June 26, 2025 at 10:06 PM
My main issue with the Aeropex was how uncomfortable they became after a few hours of wear. I addressed that by adding some leather to the ear rests. The new pair has been on my head all waking hours since they arrived, and after a few days they seem good. No pain, looks like they addressed it.

My Shokz Aeropex of the past five years finally died, so I upgraded to their newest model, the OpenRun Pro 2. Other than the color, they are better in nearly every way, and the app is actually helpful and worth installing for the settings alone.

My friend Carly brought the hive over and processed it with me. For a dead hive we had a good yield. 15lbs 8oz of honey and 2lbs 3oz of wax. We pasteurized the honey since the hive had died. Lots of work though, and what's not pictured is the mess. Everything is sticky, and/or covered in wax.

Awesome cooling pattern in some rendered bees wax from a hive we tore apart(it had died).

Ok, so this is 10 trees and two lilacs, that just came in the mail. I am not ready for this project, but it looks like I'm planting trees tomorrow.
April 29, 2025 at 2:31 AM
Just got an email that my trees are being delivered next week, & I was very confused. Followed it up, and it was from a survey I filled out for the Arbor Day Foundation last year. I thought they were trees to be planted in a forest in my name, but nope, here they come. No clue what all I'm getting.

Made a rösti for brunch. I love them, but it did take me an hour and a half. Low and slow gives such a deep crunch.

Got a Mandelbrot Set zoomer and the Game of Life running in godot. Feeling slightly more confident about my possible abilities as a fledgling game designer.

Took a fresh start this morning, pointed out the issues with ChatGPT, and managed to get this running in the godot IDE. With the godot IDE being significantly more powerful than the processing.org IDE, I'm going to try using it for my visual sketching more.

Lol, tried to use ChatGPT to generate the image in GDscript for godot, and it kept hallucinating to the point that I gave up in frustration. Guess ChatGPT isn't well versed in godot.

I'm still using processing.org for my generative image sketching even today. I should learn how to do such things in godot now. This is what a map in my game might look like, though the colors are currently randomly selected each time it's generated.

The lessons are well organized, the code is well structured, and the exercises were challenging but do-able. I couldn't recommend it enough if you're looking at getting into Godot 4.4

Laid off in January, & I've been looking for work since. I got a Udemy gift card as part of my severance, but I had already taken all of the job-related courses on there, so I decided to learn game development. I just spent the past 17 days working on an amazing course: www.udemy.com/course/jumps...

We made savory waffles for brunch today. They had a mix of farmers cheese, shredded cheese blend, herbs from the indoor garden, and some pepper. I've topped mine with sour cream, tomatillo salsa, and a drizzling of nice olive oil.

And it looks like there are now only 2/4 still alive and feeding. That's a bit sad, but the way of things.

Literally just saw a muppet feeding. They are so awkward and cute.

We've been watching this eagle nest cam: www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4-L...

There are currently three very muppet-like baby bald eagles. We got to watch a live feeding of them the other day.

Finally got my first win. Only took 17 hours.

Might have literally spent half of my time playing Balatro since purchasing it yesterday. I regret nothing, it's a great rogue like, and I've yet to win a run. This was my closest attempt.
