Issue: minerals of the same name have such a large visual variety that they’re hard to identify. Also, whilst it’s great to find a decent example of something - like these fluorite cubes - more often the rocks on the beach or in some spoil heap are way more imperfect than pics online or in books.

…posting my amateur IDs that I know about. This is on the reverse of the rock; under uv there’s another pale blue glowing section.

I’ve had a few suggestions about this - pyromorphite, sheelite, calcite, fluorite with oil. Still not much closer. So I’ve been considering… #minerals #rockhounding

Streetcorner Music has the following recordings listed. These are even worse to find. The last two are tracks by The Manhattans but could be covers. The artists aren’t listed:

BMI website has the artist as Linda Kay Glass. Doesn’t really narrow it down. Billboard from 4th August 1973 appears to have the single releasing soon:

Finding it difficult to post, but it’s not trivial to hold on to the things that you like. So here’s the rocks out of the tumbler ready to go in for their polish. I wasn’t happy with how they were, so I’ve changed a few things and re-tumbled them. Hoping, with patience, they turn out ok:
