More work on the Revell Samba Bus and something I don't see everyday.
It's a Revell kit.
I am enjoying this one and taking my time with it.
It certainly is nice in the sunlight, I will do some pictures outside when it's completed.
Round one of paint and taping is done, onto the second round of body panels. I have used SMS Colour Shift Extreme Solar Flare paint on a SMS gloss black base coat and TAMIYA grey will be for the top half.
Revell Samba T1 Bus, This kit is a level 5 my 1st. From steps 18,19 to 20 requires so much painting and retaping to have it ready. No rush all prep work is underway 😎
The Revell Samba Bus has an engine and a chassis finished. I used the colour change paint on grey primer for the underside. It looks a little pink under the bench light but it's great in the sun. The Interior is next but I will do that tomorrow.
After doing some research I have found almost all these Samba Buses had white roofs, so it's going to change to something else.
Next build is a Revell Volkswagen T1 Samba Bus. I have been putting this one off for a while but it's not going to build itself. I will be painting it in SMS Solar Flare colour shift, red orange gold and a white roof.
Cheers, It certainly fought me at a few stages.
Thanks mate 🙂
This is my finished offering of the AMT 1968 Shelby GT-500. It isn't the best fitting car I have ever done but it was worth the challenge. Paint was Ford electric blue with Everest white racing stripes from SMS. I added seatbelts made a gear shift and use putty to fill a damaged chassis.
Here is the chocolate mud cake wedding cake I made thirteen years ago today
My copy was at a mates house, he pissed his parents off and they took all of the stuff and chucked it.
I had that album on Vinyl back in the day, great memories.
AMT 1968 Shelby is on its feet after the brass rods arrived with a quick mock up for stance. I have painted the racing stripes and drilled holes for the aftermarket bonnet pins, windshield wipers and side mirror. I also got a kit delivery I have wanted since I saw it.
Lovely build, great bike back in the day.
These magnifying glasses help a lot 😀
And then there were two.
One seatbelt complete.
I am waiting for some copper wire on order to replace the missing axle the rest of the underbody is finished. I might install seatbelts for the interior? I made a gear shift out of a pin head, high density foam and a bit of spare parts. What a hobby this is 😆
