After losing to Lindenwood 5-2 on Friday, Long Island U. returns the favor, defeating Lindenwood 5-2 Saturday at Centene. Lions winning streak ends at 7 games. Lindenwood is off next weekend, returning to action Dec 13-14 at Maine.

After spotting Robert Morris a 2-0 lead, Lindenwood rallied for 5-3 victory Sat. at Centene to sweep weekend series. Louis-Phillipe Fontaine scored what proved to be game-winner, his 6th goal of season. Lions are 7-5-0, which doesn't include 2 wins over ACHA-member Grand Canyon.

It should be noted that Grand Canyon is not in NCAA Div. 1. The Antelopes are in the ACHA, so the Lindenwood wins over the weekend don’t count on their official record. But club teams can be dangerous: UNLV’s club team beat mighty Denver U. last season.

Lindenwood men’s hockey won its 4th straight game Saturday, overwhelming Grand Canyon 10-0 at Centene. Olivier Houde had a hat trick, Ty Hipkin scored twice. The Lions outshot Grand Canyon 61-9!

Had a great time Sat. at The Mill in Ruma, Ill. Sold a few Blues books, great food, friendly people. And yes, the phone booth is still there! My nephew once lived in the house in the background. He knew the pay phone # and would startle “tourists” w/a call when they stepped into the booth.
