Lindenwood men’s hockey ends regular season w/4-2 win Sat. at Centene over Alaska-Anchorage. Lions (14-14-0) lost Fri.’s series opener 5-4. Lions goals Saturday by Fletcher (12th), Houde (12th), Kuzma (4th) & Savoie (9th). Beerman w/28 saves in goal.

Offensive tackle Rob Havenstein, a 2nd-round pick by St. Louis Rams in 2015, announced his retirement today.
I remember interviewing Rob at the indoor field at Rams Park in Earth City that year. Long snapper Jake McQuaide, an undrafted free agent in 2011, is only remaining "StL" Ram with the team.

In final road game of season, Lindenwood men's hockey lost 5-1 Sat. to Stonehill (Mass.) to split weekend series.
Lions (13-13-0) play rest of schedule at Centene:
- Alaska-Anchorage next weekend.

Blues have claimed forward Jack Finley off waivers from Tampa Bay. He's a St. Louis native whose father Jeff was Blues defenseman from 1998-2004. Jack, 23, had 2 goals, 1 assist in 22 games for Lightning this season. Has played in only 23 NHL games overall. Former 2nd-round pick.

Despite spending much of 3rd period in penalty box, Lindenwood held off Stonehill 3-1 Friday in men's hockey in North Easton, Mass. Liam Beerman, a freshman from Marquette, Mich., had 38 saves for Lions (13-12-0). Lions went 5-for-5 on penalty kill, including a lengthy 5-on-3.

Blues have traded Nick Bjugstad to the New Jersey Devils for forward Thomas Bordeleau and a conditional 4th-round pick. Bordeleau, 24, was playing with the Utica Comets of the AHL.

After a 5-2 loss Friday at Alaska-Fairbanks, Lindenwood men's hockey returned the favor Saturday with 7-4 win. Jacob Fletcher, a freshman from Midland, Ontario, scored twice for the Lions, giving him a team-leading 11 goals for the season. Lions (12-12-0) snapped a 5-game road losing streak.

Lindenwood men's hockey beat Stonehill 6-2 Friday at Centene. Six different players scored for Lindenwood, including Jacob Fletcher and Giovanni Morneau, who share team lead with 9 goals apiece. 30 saves for goalie Klayton Knapp for Lions (10-11-0). Teams back at it Sat at 7:10.
