⚠️ Improved Censorship Resistance

You will now get clear warnings if DService/RPC endpoints are down, with instructions for how to use your own endpoints.

The modal is displayed if any url the frontend needs can't be reached. Giving users an escape hatch even if endpoint censorship is happening.

Fair point! I still think that posting the content hash of your Bluesky repository onchain would add a lot of value
jthor.bsky.social
Yeah you’re right. What I really would like to see is the CID root of your Bluesky data repo to be set as an ENS record every time you post.
jthor.bsky.social
That’s a shame because it could improve the security of Bluesky at large. I’m not a huge fan of the (ironically) centralized did:plc

@bsky.app when can we have ENS support? I want to use my .eth domain as a handle!
jthor.bsky.social
A common misconception is that it's very expensive to update your ENS domain contenthash. This used to be the case when Ethereum gas prices were crazy high a few years ago. Now these txs tend to always be < $1.

Also expect this cost to drop by a lot once ENSv2 launches!

It's built on top of @ethereum.org, ENS, and @ipfs.tech. Providing unmatched censorship resistance.

Sustainability is achieved with a small subscription fee. No degen bullshit!

Fully open source, and anyone can run an indexer node!

It started of because I wanted a way to publish my blog on jthor.eth.link, but I was disatisified with all existing tools. Either too technical, or not enough control.

Simple Page gives you both: ease of use and full control over your content, forever.

@jthor.bsky.social will explore how to build fully censorship-resistant applications—without compromising user experience. He'll highlight practical tools, common centralization pitfalls, and what it takes to extend decentralization all the way to end users.

Exploring how to make DIDs (decentralized identifiers) more interoperable and composable. There is a workable approach in Generative DIDs + OCAPs. Read more:
