I was playing with Photoshops generative AI by trying to touch up a photo of some kids where one of their eyes was closed. I asked it to "change to open eyes." It did an amazing job of selecting the particular child and then boldly dropped in a random different kid with open eyes in their place...

Back in 2021 I got back out and started running again after a few years getting disconnected from it. I ran 1000 miles that year. It's been a journey getting fully back to shape... but I just crossed 1000 miles for 2023 this morning and I'm feeling great.

I changed my BlueSky to a custom domain on Monday night and just realized when I saved my DNS configuration my MX records somehow got dropped... I thought it was an awfully quiet week for e-mail... 😬

Fifteen years ago today my cat and I boarded a plane to Seattle to hang out here for “a couple years, maybe.” Today, it feels like home.

I filled up the tires on my cargo bike with the compressor in the R1S today. Even when we leave it at home it helps the kids get to school.

For the runners here… now that Boston is behind me I’m heading back to the trails for the rest of 2023. I’m tentative on the Tiger Claw 50k on May 13th, doing Squak In the Dark on May 27th, pacing Cascade Crest, and running the Teanaway 100.

I might add another 50k or 50 miler in August too.
