I have stopped watching almost all MSM. MSNBC was my go-to for years but many of its programs now sound similar so I don’t watch. I have two shows I continue to follow and that is Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell. I don’t actually watch them on the news cast but do podcasts of their shows.

I have a community mailbox and have had for the last 17 years. But my box is a 30 second walk from my front door and easy to stop at on the way home. Rural properties in some regions have 30-90 minute drives and many such individuals get much more critical mail due to the remoteness of their homes.

I do feel that insisting that Canada Post be the only service provider in 🇨🇦that runs at a profit makes an already hard job more difficult.

Is to acknowledge that Canada Post provides a service. We require it to provide the same delivery at the same price to every location in the country. That automatically puts it in a nonprofitable position in relation to its competitors. I know that the criteria is written into the law that created.3

Yes I have read the report and in my opinion it stands on the inaccurate assumption that the post office is a revenue/profit generating entity. I do not disagree that there are significant issues especially concerning the changing dynamics of the market but the first thing that needs to be done…2

Can we please change the narrative? Canada Post is a SERVICE. You don’t expect a service to run at a profit. Where’s the profit at the fire department , the police department, child protection or education? This is like trying to equate Gov’t budgets with a credit card. Absolutely absurd!
