Today there are 263 women MPs in Parliament - including all three Deputy Speakers.

Today, Bradford remembered the Bradford Pals battalions - the friends and neighbours who signed up to fight alongside one another in the Great War.

109 years ago today, some 1770 Pals were killed or injured on the first day of the horrific Battle of the Somme.

We will remember.

The fall in waiting lists in Bradford and across Yorkshire is an important first step on the NHS’s road to recovery.
