Doodles of ferromorphs n info bout em - Theyre technically a large cell colony creature, a slime or blob thing that just has an outer coating of ferromagnetic-like metal giving them their fuzzy appearance - They can cohabitate but will cannibalise each other if not fed or trained well - Some ferros like to keep a "favorite object" they cant digest or incorporate into their mass so they carry it around on or inside their body n will play with it sometimes Doodles of ferromorphs n info bout em - Some examples of their coat/spine type: screw/curl coat, needle/long coat (not actually needles n is pretty soft), nub coat, sheet coat - Colours of a ferromorph mainly depend on its originator region. - Domestic morphs have cleaner and shinier coats/spines with less frayed/rogue spines poking out, depending on quality of husbandry they may even shimmer and sparkle or be glass/crystal polished looking. - The colour depends on the main metal or trace element component that made up their core when first formed. They can have a mix of colours and some patterns. Patterns become more clear if theyre well cared for so their spines become more uniform n better show off their clean colours.

Saw a project someones workin on called FerroPet n it just made me think of if Transformers would maybe have little critters that eat metal dust/shavings n rust

I think itd be the mech equivalent of havin bugs or rats as pets. Theyre sweet little things

Some doodles of ferromorphs, tiny little creatures that appear to be entirelt made out of ferromagnetix metals (it does have a center mass) that live off loose magnetic and conductive metal shavings n dust (primarily metal). The doodles showcase a standard ferromorph, mech servos petting and handling them and feeding a pet ferro. Theres wild ones that make their homes in mech living spaces, workshops and ships. Most see them as pests, on par with spiders in human homes, not generally harmful and kind of useful to a base, but most dont pay them any mind. Theres a few mechs that collect and keeps ferromorphs as pets and form strong bonds to their fuzzy little companions. Theyre harmless and get stimulation from static electricity and gentle handling from their owners. Ferromorphs when excited will wiggle their soft spines and spin in tiny circles repeatedly. Some environments make it ideal to have one or more ferromorphs as companion pets. They feed off already loose metal shavings and dust, meaning well trained ferros can possibly help with personal care if a mech doesnt have access to maintenance facilities.
