Environmentalist, gardener, reader. I do not like tidiness. Born at 317.97ppm. I reckon permaculture is the answer. Also, I don’t do DMs here, just so’s you know (wouldn’t want to appear rude😃)

Yes, I think you are remembering right, and it makes sense. Debbie has been in Hungary (hope I have the right country!) for a long time now, and must be well settled I imagine.
#TheArchers
I suppose we could have a new Debbie? I don’t mind either way really, as I must be one of the few people who doesn’t like the character (great actor though!). But she’d be a cat among the pigeons, in a story I’m very much enjoying! Making it even more fun to listen to. 😃

The White House getting gutted for a one-man vanity project that benefits no one but said man, right after 7 million people said “please fuck off,” is such immaculate symbolism it’s making my head spin.

Honestly, you really could not make it up at this point.

Morning Neil😃 and morning all ORCs, especially those who are probably typing at the same time as me 😂😂
They certainly came very close. And we heard a moment of panic in his voice when the police were mentioned. But then his next move was lie in wait for Lillian and sound really threatening! I wonder if a return to serve the rest of his sentence is in store for our George?
#TheArchers
He really has! I have to confess though, I really enjoyed Alice stirring the pot! Brian is coming back from holiday with a lot to answer!!
#TheArchers
It’s such a brilliantly done storyline isn’t it! I remember little very young George, and thinking he is being spoilt emotionally to make up for some of his circumstances, snd the early sparks of the George we see now. And the actor is outstanding.
#TheArchers
Precisely! I am really hoping the SWs have a probation officer somewhere who will remind him he is only out on licence! I doubt his ever George worshipping family will!
#TheArchers
I think he only agonised briefly, and when it was really put in front of him. And when he thought it might keep him out of prison. Even with the occasional spark of good we see, I reckon George is fundamentally utterly selfish!
(I’m also impatient to hear Amber 2.0 😃)
#TheArchers
I also had my foot well in the stirrup on my way to mounting my high horse!! 😂
I agree, if he’d thought it through properly he’d have realised he needed to get Alice help. Preferably from her family. Or Chris… his uncle!! Or an ambulance. But he wanted to drive her nice car!
#TheArchers
I think it’s probably much less these days. When my ex husband was out on parole he had to visit with a probation officer weekly to begin with. It was ages ago, but I think that got less frequent after a couple of months. His family was very supportive, it was a condition of his license.
#TheArchers
I think it did. Both in him being bullied because of it, and his family giving him too much benefit of the doubt because of it. And I think Neil also is right in that there’s something in George that just isn’t nice. It’s been so well written over a long time scale.
#TheArchers
The chaplain tried, but I don’t think George went back after he didn’t get what he wanted. We don’t seem to be hearing about a probation officer? Since he’d have to keep going if it is a condition of his parole, that could work? But I’m not sure George will engage.
#TheArchers
In absolutely no way, in any universe, was George within his rights to place her in the driving seat!!!!!
Just thought though, were you hoping he’d say that so Lillian kicked him in the doodahs?!
#TheArchers
Me too!! I was incredibly self absorbed, and yet somehow little self awareness 😂
That quote is quite apposite… as those same parents were once the teenagers!!
#TheArchers
I was responding to Steve’s comment above, and so simply used the terminology he did. You would need to ask him. I guess it could be one of a number, eg BPD, but I don’t personally think so. I think George is a troubled young man, in need of help to do some hard work on his personality.
#TheArchers
I think it depends on the person really. Some older people find it particularly difficult as they have built their whole life on not checking in on themselves!
George, I fear, may end up being both!
#ThrArchers
I am still a bit on the fence regarding whether he has a real condition, or if he spends more time feeding his bad wolf than his good one. Self reflection is a painful business and it can seem much easier to blame others for every misfortune.

Good morning Rob, and good morning ORCs. Monday is here… up and at ‘em!!
So sorry to hear this, sending love and condolences x
I love carriage of misjustice! And it was.

Yes, I think you’re right about the indirect violence being the more likely. But we have seen flashes of a temper that sounds like it could take him over. But then we’ve seen flashes of a good man too.
#TheArchers
Yes, and sadly I’m beginning to think he is going to end up a worse version of Eddie. George, I believe, has the potential for real violence, which Eddie doesn’t.
#TheArchers
And yes, the whole Matt thing was truly dreadful. And she had an affair with his brother!!
