This week, acting under delegated authority of @mayoroflondon.bsky.social I called in the proposed scheme at High Barnet Place. London needs more homes, and the Mayor is committed to boosting housing delivery across the capital. That is why I called in this scheme for further consideration.

It was great to speak at a roundtable organised by Montagu Evans LLP yesterday, where I set out @mayoroflondon.bsky.social's priorities for 2026. These include kickstarting housing delivery; developing a draft London Plan; and getting the Oxford Street transformation scheme on a firm footing.

In 2025, @london-fire.bsky.social attended 1,028 fires in homes where hoarding had taken place - the highest in recent years. This is a real danger facing some of our most vulnerable residents.

Today, one of the two tunnel boring machines that will construct the tunnel from Old Oak Common to Euston was launched, bringing the completion of HS2 one step closer.

Tackling London's housing crisis is a priority for
@mayoroflondon.bsky.social and the Accelerating Housing Delivery Practice Note published today is the latest step from the Mayor to bring forward measures to unlock housing delivery in response to challenging economic headwinds.

Last week I was delighted to speak at the High Streets Data Service showcase event, celebrating how data-enabled innovation and collaboration is shaping the future of London’s high streets. Great to see boroughs & BIDs using HSDS datasets to support local growth across London.
