At the Edinburgh Book Festival, I got to meet David Keenan.

He talked about how his books aren’t about meaning, but about the experience of reading them. That really got me thinking, as an aspiring writer, about the role of the reader and how much their experience shapes a story.

It was fantastic day at the Edinburgh Book Festival.

What stayed with me from the Scottish Writing is Thriving are reflections of some wonderful Scottish authors on obsession in writing.
It left me wondering - how do my own obsessions fit into my journey to becoming a writer?
