This was a heartbreaking story. Bella's stress and anxiety and desire to be what people want spoke to me so deeply. So many people put her in bad situations even after they knew she had a problem and it was so hard to read.

A story with knowledgeable adults

Most of the adults in this were clueless to Bella's pain. But the ones who helped her through recovery were very knowledgeable.

This book was a fascinating examination of who society values. However it was disturbing. Deeply so. And did not quite reach what I was looking for in a horror book.
