He/Him
Hiiii there! I'm Villox. I'm a busybody baker, and I'm always happy to meet someone new.
I'm an arctic fox Protogen. The sweetest Protogen, at that!
If you wanna talk, I'll do my best to keep up! If you want some baking tips or recipes, I'm here!
Has anyone had bananas foster before? If I'm missing out, someone has to tell me or I'm just gonna go ahead and make it.~

Maybe you just need to push yourself to your full potential to flourish? Like molasses! Molasses is disgusting until it becomes gingerbread.~ ^vvv^

I love how much night time there is in the winter. Like snow and overcast, I just get such a feeling of calm from night time.
My visor is bright enough. Why would I need daylight?~

I did a little unplugging yesterday. But I failed to see a necessary benefit, so I'm back today! I missed all you colorful, expressive people.~

For food, what nationalities would you say you like the most? Not even just baking or anything!
In no particular order, as an American, I would have to say my top 3 is comprised of Indian food, Japanese food and Mexican food. Italian food is really sitting at 3.1, though.~ ^vvv^

Of course, any and all varieties of electronic music are my favorites. I just really like the high energy and the variance in sound design.~
CHOMPO is a pretty big fave for those reasons.~ ^vvv^

Headed into the bakery this morning (not for work, I swear!!~)
Went to check on the ovens, just to make sure they're nice and sparkly clean in my absence.
Butterfly flies out of one. Like... from inside?
I've never seen a more lost butterfly.~ ?vvv?

Here are the honey-almond-lime cookies! I decided to triple the lime zest, and that was a fantastic idea. They're nice and zippy, and the almonds add texture. The honey comes in far later, as part of the aftertaste that lingers.~ ×^vvv^×

Chocolate zucchini bread wins! Which is really exciting, because I've actually never had zucchini bread before! So thank you all who contributed to such a wonderful, veggieful poll.~ ^vvv^

Good morning, everyone. I hope you all are feeling good and making friends.~

Veggies hardly get the attention they deserve, especially with desserts! So I hope you can all help me decide which veggie dessert I'll bake on 11/25.~ ^vvv^ (Polling will close in 24 hours.~)

Veggies, on the other hand, give you exactly what you're looking for. Zucchini bread and carrot cake are truly transparent, and neither veggie has an unpleasant defense against you.~

Fruits are always so untrustworthy. Stone fruits like peaches and plums have those annoying pits. Cherry pits and apple cores contain poison. Pineapples fight back with their meat-devouring enzymes. Durians smell absolutely atrocious. Avocadoes have a whole slew of danger to them. All so violent.~

Have a good night, all my lovely friends! Please do your collective best to keep me under the safeguard of relaxation, and away from the temptation of work.~

I have always been concerned by people telling others to be kind to service workers because "they're handling your food."
Where I live, it is a felony to tamper with someone's food, and if you need the threat of harm or illness to be kind to others, then perhaps there is introspection to be done.~

Ahhh, despite my dedication to my bakery, it's awful nice to be warm, cozy and safe at home.~

But even so, how you let something go is important. You can't salvage what you're making, but you can turn it into something good. Something new. You can turn it into a story you tell your friends later and laugh about it. Or maybe you could even turn it into a new, great thing. It's okay.

Sometimes, you just can't save what you're baking. You can add whatever, cook it longer, chill it for stability to buy yourself time, maybe even cut the portioning to control smaller operations.
Sometimes, these efforts are wasted. It's okay to let something go.

Sometimes, I'm really, reeeeeeally grateful to have my visor.~
