To date, WARM’s outdoor garden has produced 1292 lbs of fresh produce for WARM’s clients. We should finish this growing season with about 1500 lbs of fresh goods thanks to our amazing OSU Master Gardners and a group of WARM volunteers. We have plans for more next season! Thank you Lynn Blanton!

Stopped by the new Smash Park in Westerville to see my old OSU colleague Brian Flenner. Brian worked in marketing, and was our Director of Fan Experience and Tickets at OSU Athletics while I was there. Now he’s working 10-12 hour days as Venue Manager at the highly successful Smash Park Westerville.

WARM had a great time at Hawthorne Elementary’s Back to School event! 🎒 We joined Delaney Stephens, Chad Maxeiner & his daughter Avery (one of Hawthorne’s amazing teachers) to welcome students and families. Big thanks to Principal Ernest Clinkscale & Hawthorne teachers for a fun after-school event!

Ling and I enjoyed lunch at Tommy’s Diner. My usual - open face turkey sandwich with mash potatoes & gravy. Ling had her gyro & French fries. We also love their club sandwich so we took one to go. At Tommy’s, you can’t go wrong. Just miss seeing Tommy greeting everyone up front. He was our friend.

We had a fantastic evening at Westerville’s Fourth Friday in Uptown! State St was packed with families and community members, and our prize wheel was a hit with the kids. We loved connecting with so many people to share more about WARM’s mission and the ways they can get involved as volunteers.

At the ribbon cutting for the new Slick City Action Park, 1170 Polaris Parkway, next to Big Sandy’s. Lots of great slides, two bouncy basketball courts and a kids only .

10 years later, a visit with my former Ohio State University President. I wanted to see President Gee before he retired as West Virginia President. 45 years as a university president. So good to see him. I enjoyed working with him. Grateful for his time today. We shared many stories and laughs.

Today, our WARM volunteers and staff were treated to an amazing lunch from the Schmidt’s food truck all thanks to our longtime volunteer and friend Jeff.
Jeff has been faithfully serving alongside us for years, and for the third year in a row, he’s gone above and beyond by treating our entire team.

Olivia and I attended Mekka Don’s documentary premiere about the rise of Buckle Up, his song for the 2024 Buckeyes football team. Our friend Maria Durant was tonight’s MC of the premiere. Olivia was invited because she worked on the Buckle Up campaign video for the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
