The House just passed the Kayla Hamilton Act — a bill that would subject undocumented kids as young as 12 to invasive bodily searches and increase and prolong their detention, putting them at heightened risk for sexual abuse. We urge the Senate to reject this bill and protect the safety of children.

We applaud the courage of the survivors who are speaking out about the horrifying torture and abuse they endured at CECOT. We must fight to end the administration's dangerous ramp up of immigration detention and deportation that puts people at risk for sexual abuse.

Just a reminder that dressing as a "prisoner" for Halloween isn't funny! There are nearly 2 million people incarcerated in the United States. Mass incarceration is a human rights crisis. It is not a costume.

In summer 2024, 7 women accused Idaho prison workers of sexual misconduct. The allegations spanned decades, took place at various facilities and involved different perpetrators.
