What if we built a government out of the worst people we could find?
Here's an idea - all the homeless should go to the grounds of the Capitol, maybe even beat on the doors and windows of the place. Trump has already determined that doing so is acceptable behavior.

I don't know why anybody besides Popeyes bothers with a chicken sandwich - maybe Chick Fil A, since they probably feel like they have to - and I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't live near a Popeyes

Republicans in Congress have structured the most painful benefit cuts in their budget bill to kick in AFTER the 2026 midterms.
But the tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy? Those begin immediately.

Break in to the US Capitol, assault Capitol police, damage Capitol property, threaten to kill the Vice President - yawning followed by pardons. Throw some rocks at vehicles, block the street and keep the ICE guys from having their fun - 2000 National Guardsmen. Makes you wonder.

As I approach my upcoming birthday which will make me quite old, I begin to appreciate that I did not pay Fairport Convention nearly enough attention when I was young.

World War II did not end on May 8. My father didn't sit in the Philippines through the summer of 1945 waiting to be part of the first wave of the invasion of the Japanese home islands because the war was over. And Veteran's Day is about honoring veterans of all American wars.
