How many of my fellow #indiedev friends are building for themselves vs building for an audience? How exactly have you determined who your audience is and what makes them tick?

With our industry's obsession with vanity metrics such as wishlists, have you ever thought about the "why" behind them? Why do some games have super high conversion, but the average is usually below 5%?

How exactly can you make sure that the value of a wishlist is high enough that they'll convert?

As an Indie Dev, how do you use data to de-risk your projects? where do you get your data from and how do you make sense of it? What kind of data do you think matters the most?

I need to try and finish Pacific Drive at some point.

Just 100% Indiana Jones - what a ride!
Highly recommend it if you've not played it yet.
Might be my game of the year.

What's been your game of the year?

Our artist, Emily, has been working on the main protagonist, Charles, for our upcoming game Nightmare: Dicebound. We still have a small team right now (there are only 6 of us), but the quality and pace of work really show a dedicated and passionate group of people.

Emily is proving to be absolutely unstoppable! It's only Monday, and she's already digging into her creative duffel bag of Lovecraftian horrors and working on sketches for the Monster Journal in our upcoming title, Nightmare: Dicebound. buff.ly/49eKHMd #turnbased #boardgame #indiedev

Have you thought about adding voice acting to your games but hesitated due to costs, complexity, or management issues? I’ll explain our dialogue pipeline process in the coming days, based on my work with our titles and AAA dialogue.

Develop a Strong Visual Identity

Our pitch deck received multiple offers from publishers who saw Project Nightmare’s potential. But as the industry hit tough times, those deals fell through—a reminder that while a great deck opens doors, the journey has its challenges. #PitchDeck #FirstImpression #GameDev

With the industry changes, it’s clear that a vertical slice is now essential for publishers. Our pitch deck made a strong first impression, but today’s publishers want to see the game in action. A playable demo has become the next step in moving from interest to funding. #GameDev #GamePitch

It's worth waiting a bit until they patch it. I've reached a point where so much is broken that some quests don't work any more.

But otherwise, it's a lot of fun.

Just realised my maths was very wrong there, £66 across 6 equal payments.

Wish that option was around when I went all in on the Kingdom Death Kickstarter......

Me too, hehe. I'm still waiting on at least 10 other Kickstarter purchases.

On a separate note, Gamefound's split pay is both a blessing and a curse. Now I don't feel so bad dropping £400 on an all in pledge as it's split into 6 £50 Equal payments.....but then, it's still £400 on a board game.
