I wrote an obituary for Dr Jane Goodall for Australian Geographic and it was a professional highlight. How I wish I’d had the chance to meet this sensational woman!

Watching the replay of the Women’s Rugby World Cup. It makes me SO happy - the supporters, the little girls bursting with pride who are running in with each team captain, the opportunity… I’d have been a great rugby player, I’m sure of it, but I was at deportment classes… #womensrugby #1980s

I’ve been in Sydney doing something significant and in doing so, reminding myself what I love about being Australian: kookaburras, wattle, ferries, my friends, the light, the flora, the sparkling water… Even biting insects. I’m so lucky to have choices.

I’ve been off Bluesky for a while but have quite missed the goings on of @maffygirl.medsky.social and @an-leavy.bsky.social. And, of course, #postboxsaturday. So strange that social media has us developing relationships with total strangers who we’d love to meet one day…

Dipping my toe back into the pond that is Bluesky by sharing a photo of the first frog of the season, spotted tonight! I’m SO pleased we have this - and other reptiles from the week - in our garden. We’re so lucky.

That feeling of knowing the letters and cards I send bring so much joy to others, while simultaneously watching the letter delivery system go down the toilet… I refuse to lose hope or give up snail mail! #AustraliaPost

Have just spent five days in Australia's capital, Canberra, and it has been exceptional. What a sensational city! There is so much to see and do here! We did a Women in Espionage tour today where I learned a lot (and channelled my inner Standish). #canberra
