Justrowena, again
The average voter has absolutely zero idea how overwhelmed and broken the tribunal system is, and therefore what a mirage many of these rights will be to low and middle earners. Especially when the extra cases they bring send things entirely into meltdown
The Employment Rights Bill has passed. This is about good work for the many not the few:
- Exploitative zero hours contracts banned
- Sick pay extended to low earners
- Notice of shifts
- Family leave strengthened
Change promised.
Change delivered.

The remaining point of contention is removing the £118k cap on compensation with no consultation or impact assessment. Harming working people to benefit the very highest earners. Its not the Lords who should be soul searching
Green MPs strongly oppose the Lords amendments to the Employment Rights Bill.

With no half-measures, worker’s rights must be strengthened.

This important Bill must not be watered down.

Removing the cap is ill thought through, has no impact assessment , no consultation, was not in the manifesto and may just collapse the tribunal system beyond repair.

But yeah, the Lords are the bad guys.

There's a reason New Labour backed away from the idea
