You know, Elden Ring Nightreign was good. I didn't really play a lot of the Deep of Night or whatever update, but I should go back into that.

Ugh, too much to play. Part of me is looking at Battlefield 6, but also things like Hades 2, or like literally a hundred other games

Editing together my Osamu Tezuka misconceptions video (should be out later this week).

Kinda worried that this video will be less "oh my, he's so smart, he makes such good points and arguments", and more "this guy is a giant idiot who someone missed this obvious counter proof"
justsomecanadianot.bsky.social
Actually, since you used Dororo as an example, Tezuka made a manga adaptation of Tange Sazen, the original thing Lady Sazen sprung from

I just didn't get the reference.

I spend my time trying to engage with Osamu Tezuka fans, saw your post, and didn't get it. So I asked.

Feels like a bit of an overreaction.

it's going down? we arguing about kimba here?

I like it when I make youtube videos about obscure things, because when I see someone watch it, I get to imagine them like a guy wandering through a desert to find a rare video talking about their thing.

Every time I see some post about people promoting AI and saying it's like Astro Boy or that we're nearing the future Osamu Tezuka envisioned, I cringe.

The point was that the robots had autonomy. If they don't have that and are a glorified servant, you're several Tezuka villains

Trying a different thumbnail style. Minimal with big red text. Something that will catch people's attention. Is this too bland?

Hopefully I can finish the Tezuka misconception video by end of next week

So, the next video was gonna be Osamu Tezuka Part 4 (the script is done, just gotta do all the annoying recording, and editing, and whatnot), but no.

I feel kinda good about this Tezuka Misconception video, so I think I'll make it first. It'll be a good one.

More Expedition 33 content. Let's gooooo.

Going through essays, and interviews, and what not to find out if Osamu Tezuka himself, in a primary source, actually ever said something, has me like...

I don't care if it's on Wikipedia (whose source is some other article without a source). I want a primary source dang-it
justsomecanadianot.bsky.social
Trying to find info to prove and / or dis-prove Osamu Tezuka popularized big anime eyes had been interesting.

Results might just be inconclusive and debatable

Calling #anime and #manga experts. Who (besides Osamu Tezuka) were the popular mangaka of the 1940s and 50s (and 30s if you have that knowledge). Who would be on the short list of popular and influential around this time?
justsomecanadianot.bsky.social
Dang. That Digimon Story Time Stranger game is doing numbers. I thought it looked fun, but didn't expect people to jump on it like this.

I already have a mountain of a backlog, but maybe this one will have to be sooner rather than later.

Update: I'm starting to research and write the script for "Five Osamu Tezuka Misconceptions". I feel like I've picked five good topics. Might not be able to completely disprove all of them, but I think it'll be good.

If I like it, I'll prob release after Tezuka Pt 4
justsomecanadianot.bsky.social
Every now and then I see posts about people wanting X property to cross over with the works of Osamu Tezuka, but they always mean Astro Boy or some other well-known one.

The Tezuka people should agree, but then only offer crossovers with like... Jet King. Something no one knows
justsomecanadianot.bsky.social
Now, that you mention it, I guess you could say the movement speed is fast in comparison. I'd prefer to say it's just right

I remembered this image exists. I love it. I too have been corrupted by Tokyo's manga

(Game is Shin Megami Tensei 4)

So, like, what even is the use case of Sora 2 ??? For real. Why would I or anyone chose, purposefully, to go watch AI content over regular Youtube videos or TV shows or something? I don't get it.

I get the tech is cool, but why would I use it for my entertainment?

New video release. If you liked my Sword of Moonlight content, well so did developer Tell All, who gifted me their game Hope Deferred.

As the first dev to ever gift me a game, I made them a little review.

Magic the Gathering these days is literally "And Gandalf the Grey, and Gandalf the White, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail's Black Knight". At least I don't think they'll do Benito Mussolini...

New Hazbin Hotel season Oct 29.

I wonder if there will be a mountain of haters again? Seriously, the amount of hate videos the first season (and Helluva Boss) got is like, weirdly a lot.
justsomecanadianot.bsky.social
I never met him personally, but I feel with confidence like Osamu Tezuka would be sad to see his properties turned into crypto currency and NFTs.

Using works like Kimba and Astro Boy to advertise notoriously scam-ey crud. I hope they fail and go away.
