Derzeit stecken viele un einer unreflektierten Autononmiedebatte fest. Es ist aus psychologischer Sicht unschwer zu erkennen, dass dahinter oft die Abwehr einer Auseinandersetzung mit der eigenen Endlichkeit steht.

Sollen wir den AS deshalb medial totschweigen? Nein, natürlich nicht!
Aber das suizidpräventive Prinzip auch den assistierten Suizid medial weder zu Idealisieren noch zu Romantisieren und schon gar nicht zu Heroisieren ist zu beachten.

seine Motive dazu öffentlich zu machen. Das ist wichtig und richtig im Sinne der Enttabusierung.
Journalistisch ist das zweifellos eine Gratwanderung, ist doch der Werther Effekt entgegen der Behauptung vieler auch beim assistierten Suizid bereits mit wissenschaftlicher Evidenz belegt.
