I've got loved ones in Portland. My family and I were there last week. No war. No fires. There's a 24/7 webcam (run by a local media outlet) pointed at the ICE facility. The president of the US is 18 months old and needs the bedtime stories told to him by creepy uncle Stephen Miller to be for real.

This is an old cop tactic with protests. Neutralize any messaging. With protestors, they arrest the "leaders", those who might speak well - the puppetistas and street theatre performers. Then, when things have died down and the press is gone, let them go uncharged. Similar tactic, different target.

You're right about the drone campaign. Irony wins over hypocrisy. Also, don't posit a straw man and then accuse people of not living in the "real world" It makes you look like a troll. And, not for nothing, my gripe is with the US being the largest terrorist force in history, not the means.

The Nobel committee isnt beyond politicization despite their claims. They gave it to Aung San Suu Kyi and she's complicit in ethnic cleansing. To be fair, the atrocities came after the prize. But Obama's drone assassination campaign under the so-called war on terror didn't make them think twice.

He'll be satisfied when she and her allies privatize Venezuelan oil production and refinement as she promised. Ousting Maduro would be a bonus, but with Trump and his oligarchs, it's all about the oil. He wants a Peace prize so he can hide behind it as he directs his military to murder US citizens.

In context: because of Trump, the USA has crossed the threshold into Fascism. Anyone who uses the word "visionary" to describe Trump's mass murder (without evidence or due process) of civilians of any nation is not on the side of democracy. You cannot oust one dictator with the help of two others.

Um... MCM is a right-wing supporter of Trump and Bolsonaro as well as the European far-right. People celebrating this "defeat" of Trump should read a bit first. Thiis bodes well for Trump getting this joke of a prize next time.
