Excerpts will begin again on Monday!
Have a good weekend!
All Might’s eyebrows furrowed deeper. “This might sound hypocritical coming from me. But there are certain times and places to put on a brave face. This isn’t one of them.”

As Ochako reached up to grab a bag of sweet crackers, she noticed him staring at her in the corner of her eye. She turned and raised an eyebrow at him.
"What are you looking at?"
"You." Katsuki said simply, then grinned when a blush crept up her cheeks.

“Fucking hell, stop 𝑠𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 like that!”
“Like what?” she teased, bouncing back on her heels. Her cheeks were flushed from exertion, strands of caramel hair stuck to her forehead.
“Like you’re better than me!”
“Maybe I am,” she said sweetly, raising her fists again.

She didn’t have the usual bounce in her step. Her smile didn’t reach her eyes, instead they looked sunken, tired. She didn’t even see him come in.
Tch. She usually does.

“The contact name” she almost whispered.
Deku’s eyes went wide when it connected, and his hand flew to his mouth to cover the giggles threatening to spill out. “Kacchan...”
The pair of trouble makers turned to Katsuki, who was still fuming and was now basically steaming.

She drops Bakugou’s bag in the hallway and subtly pushes Bakugou to the guest room, where he eventually caves and agrees to sleep.
But suddenly, as she closed the guest room door, Bakugou spoke up.
“You’re so pretty, Ochako,” he mumbles into the sheets.

What was she going to do? Why did it seem like Bakugou was going out of his way to embarrass her? Was he really that smart and had already figured everything out?
Her heart stopped for just a moment. What if Bakugou really liked her?? That's why he had accepted.

“You have three months to prove that you could do a better job than I have and get him to lose interest in me 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑡 making the guy hate himself or me. You will give up before the first week even draws to a close. You’re underestimating how frustrating this will be, 𝑏𝑢𝑑𝑑𝑦.”

While the two are different, they are not completely opposites. They complement each other well. Uraraka's bubbly personality matched with his explosive personality well. And right now, they have to confront their feelings for each other if they want to leave.

Oh god.
Her smile.
Fuck, did she have a beautiful smile.
Had it always looked like that?

“True love?” Ochako choked out.
“True love.” He nodded gravely.
“So, that means you love me?”
He laughed a very human laugh. Throwing his head back and letting the mirth rack his whole frame. “I knew you were a dumbass, but this is a new low, Princess.”

If this was his wedding, he thought, she'd be barefoot. There wouldn't be as many people, there would be no press in the back, no big bravo. And that dress — it would be for him.

"Don’t avoid my question, Ochako." He sits up.
"I’m not. I already told you we aren’t dating. Yet you thought we were and still texted."
He studies her, scrutinizing her as he does, and when he sees the truth, a smug smile pulls onto his lips.
"Good."

Kissing was stupid, and pointless, and there was no good reason whatsoever for it to be causing him any amount of consternation—but Katsuki just had to be a blood type A perfectionist, and he'd be damned if a little something like this got the better of him.

Bakugou nearly flies out of his seat in the waiting room when his crimson eyes land on his fianceé. No one has ever made him feel this way, no one has ever made him shed a tear, nothing like what Ochako does to him.

“Daddy?” Bakugo felt a tug on his leg. He took a deep breath and looked down. He could take as many deep breaths as he liked, he would steal his breath away every time he saw her. Sure, she had his blonde hair and his red eyes, but those cheeks? Those were Ochako’s cheeks.

He pauses in his tickling, watching her. Her laugh finally dies and she sends him a questioning glance, a toothy grin on her face. He knows he’s smiling, too. He has born witness to her infectious smile one too many times. So he directs a pillow to her face.

“Caramel latte and a grilled cheese with tomato soup,” she says when the cashier asks her what she wants.
“For here or to go?”
“Here’s fine,” she responds, and finishes her order, stepping aside to let Katsuki order.
“Macchiato. And a grilled veg sandwich, pepper jack. To go.”

Ochako Uraraka believed in self care.
In theory.
Like in a candle from the clearance section that sat untouched on her bathroom counter because she was waiting for a special occasion kind of way.

"What's your favorite color?" he asked in a hushed tone so no one heard him being nice.
"Why?" Uraraka wasn't surprised. "So you can buy me a bra that I'd want to wear? Were you going to practice on it before giving it to me?" she whispered.

All of that seemed a little extreme now — he had a thing for drama — that under his hands, the everlasting softness of her body encompassed all of his rational thoughts.
Even her laugh was soft, even if she was laughing at his idiotic, incredulous expression.

Just closing her eyes and inhaling his scent was enough to make her relax and forget, and the distraction was most welcome.
Eventually, they broke apart, and all that could be heard was the sound of their labored breathing, and the autumn breeze blowing against the trees.

"Did you have fun today, Ochako?" her father asks warmly.
"Uh-huh! I made a new friend. His name is Bakugo and he caught me a bunch of fishes! His mom yelled at him and carried him away, though. She made me dump out the fish he had caught"
