I would love if WebKit implements
prefers-reduced-transparency! As Liquid Glass begins to influence web designers it would be great to have more control over improving contrast for accessibility.

Beautifully-written article on the past (and potential future) of UI design at Apple, and how it affects the wider industry.

I especially like how it points out just how much beauty and thought can go into even the smallest elements of a design language.

This release fixes a 4-year-old issue and lets VoiceOver on Safari recognize form landmark regions when coupled with accessible names.

Thank you @scottohara.me and the accessibility team at Apple who kept tabs to fix this over the years!

I’m glad to see so many in the accessibility community talking about this. Figma is a great design tool, but I really wish they’d use their platform to push designers towards good practice rather than, “wow design-to-code is so easy and magical!”

As people try the cool new @figma.com features like Make and Sites, please remember that AI tools are still tools, and they struggle with the human aspects of accessibility and usability.

Please don’t let the excitement of these new products cause teams to bypass user testing and WCAG conformance.

I’ve really liked the BlackMagic Video Assist. It only comes in Full HD and 2K variants, but it was lovely to work with!

A friend shared this with me recently, and I thought it was a fascinating dive into the tactile aspects of user experience design.
