Russia’s shadow fleet remains its cash lifeline.
We are cutting it.

Today we sanctioned several individuals linked to Rosneft and Lukoil, as well as 40 additional vessels.

We will also sanction shadow fleet vessels on a rolling basis, with decisions every month.

The Donbas isn’t Putin’s end game.
If he gets it, he will demand more.

We know this from history and we should learn from history.

I am deeply shocked by the distressing images from the shooting at the Hanukkah celebrations at Bondi Beach in Australia.

This appalling act of violence against the Jewish community must be unequivocally condemned. (1/2)

I welcome the release of Ales Bialiatski, Maria Kalesnikava, Maksim Znak and others from Belarusian prisons.

I share the joy of their families and friends.
Credit goes to the US for making this possible.

Now, all those who remain unjustly detained must be released.

The EU just decided to indefinitely immobilise Russian assets.

This ensures that up to €210 billion in Russian funds stay on EU soil, unless Russia fully pays reparations to Ukraine for the damage it has caused. (1/2)

As intense diplomacy to end Russia's war continues, our focus lasts on two priorities: increasing pressure on Moscow and strengthening support for Kyiv.

This means more sanctions, securing financial aid to Ukraine for 2026-27 and cracking down on oil-smuggling ships. (1/2)

We need to build up European military capabilities swiftly.

Strengthening European defence and supporting Ukraine are not separate tracks.
They are mutually reinforcing priorities.

Today’s call with E5 defence colleagues underscored our shared determination to move forward on both.
December 11, 2025 at 12:13 PM
Giving Ukraine the resources it needs to defend itself doesn’t prolong the war, it can help end it.

Thank you Radek Sikorski for convening a call of foreign ministers of the Council of the Baltic Sea States, where we were clear:

Securing multi-year funding for Ukraine in December is essential.
December 8, 2025 at 5:35 PM
Thank you to His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani for hosting us in Doha

Today we start negotiations on an agreement to strengthen regional security and economic cooperation

At such fractious times for international relations, working with partners will always be the EU's choice

Europe has been underestimating its own power, especially towards Russia.
We should be more self confident.

The United States is still our biggest ally.
And it's in the interest of the U.S. that we work together.

A pleasure to be in Austria and meet Chancellor Christian Stocker.

Our discussion focused on efforts to end Russia’s war of aggression.

We share a clear compass: a long and lasting peace requires to stand firmly with Ukraine. (1/2)

The OSCE was established to keep war away from Europe.

Yet, Russia blatantly violates international law and OSCE principles.

The EU will stay the course.
Only more pressure on Russia and more support to Ukraine will change the balance.

Thousands of Ukrainian children have been taken from their homes by Russia.

In a landmark vote, the UN adopted a resolution condemning these abductions and demanding that the children be returned to Ukraine.

We will continue our efforts until every child is safely home.
December 4, 2025 at 9:20 AM
Close friends stand together.

As intense efforts to end Russia’s war continue, one thing is clear: Ukraine can count on our full support.

This is the message I conveyed to Andrii Sybiha.

Today’s agreement to phase out Russian gas imports will help cut off the revenues that fuel Moscow’s war.
December 3, 2025 at 8:23 PM
Today, we adopted a new Strategic Agenda for the EU-Armenia Partnership.

This is a shared ambition to work closer together on many areas – from the rule of law, economy, but also cooperation on visa liberalisation and security.

I am also pleased to announce €15 million towards sustaining peace.
December 2, 2025 at 1:06 PM
We need to boost Europe’s own defence.

Our Defence Readiness Roadmap gives us a clear direction.

Member States are now setting up work on all priorities and concrete projects are expected in the first half of next year.

This week could be pivotal for diplomacy.

It is clear that Russia does not want peace, and therefore we need to make Ukraine as strong as possible.

Russian drone violations of Moldova’s airspace are unacceptable and put civilian air traffic at risk.

The EU is investing 20 million EUR this year in Moldova’s air-defences to help strengthen the country’s security.

Moldova’s skies cannot become a casualty of Russia’s war.

Europe and Mediterranean partners are reaching for the same goals:
peace, better lives for our people, and a chance at progress.

By working together as equals, we can achieve these objectives through stronger partnerships and far more cooperation.

Gender-based violence has no place in a free and equal society.
No woman or girl should have to live in fear.

On International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, we call for an end to all forms of violence and affirm the right for every women to live in safety and dignity.

Both Europe and partners in the Indo-Pacific are at a critical juncture.

We face the same challenges – such as climate change, terrorism, global & regional crises.

Let’s turn these challenges into opportunities for growth, partnership and innovation.

The EU has a very clear two-point plan: first, weaken Russia; second, support Ukraine.

Sanctions are hitting Russia hard.

The export of Russian crude oil is at its lowest. And tax revenues from oil are the lowest since the war started.

The fast movement of Europe's militaries is essential for European defence.

We have to ensure that forces can be in the right place and at the right time.

It is quite simple: the faster we can move forces, the stronger our deterrence and defence.
