In the context of the accident world, it is historically inaccurate to assume a person like Joseph was cis.

Since today is supposed to be the rapture...

John Nelson Darby, who invented it (or stolen it) believed emancipation ruined nations and likely saw the end of slavery as a sign of the end times.

CW: SA and Racism

During the 1800s, it was a belief taught by Christians that white wives should be ok with their white, slave owning husband r@ping Black women, and sometimes men, because he was exercising his biblical dominion over his household.

On July 4th this year, we remember that our country just celebrated opening a new concentration camp.
People are forced into slave labor in ICE detainment centers.
Access to food was taken away from children.

Today is going national "war is a Christian value to protect God's people" day at the majority of evangelical churches.

I wish they cared about life more than they romanticize violent killings.
June 22, 2025 at 1:55 PM
When I left the evangelical church, they said I was doing it so I could live a life is sin.

Those same people now call empathy a sin.

So, yeah, I did leave to live a life of sin.

I know how much people would scream "persecution" if there was a single legislative bill limiting Christianity in public.

Please explain, how there's been over 900 bills proposed against trans people (predominantly by Christians politicians and groups) and they do not see this as persecution?

Considering the fact that the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah is mistreatment of others, especially the poor and needy,
America does celebrate the sin of Sodom...

But it's in the first few days of July, not the month of June.

It's not "pride" that comes before the fall.

The Hebrew word in Proverbs 16:18 is גָּאוֹן and means "majesty." The same word used to describe both God's and empires' power.

It is a condemnation of those seeking power and being great (again).

A lot of people have been saying that trans women do not experience misogyny during puberty or have the experience if bleeding once a month, so they cannot be "real women."

Besides being problematic in itself, this is the same type of reasoning that lesbians were excluded from early feminism.

The Bible very clearly says it is the wealthy that oppress you and a faith that prioritizes the rich over the poor is the as good as the faith of demons.

But we are like, "we just need to prioritize the rich, because it's 'those people' causing the problems..."

"You can't change your chromosomes, you either have XX or XY"

Ok, so let's say science could change a person's chromosomes, would you then see trans people as valid?

Because if your answer is still no, then it was never about the science/biology, it is about an ideology that you want to enforce.

Many will see our government increase oppression, cut medical research, practice mass incarceration, and make the poor poorer...

and still claim this is the year of the Lord's favor.

It's not that certain people see anything left of Nazism as "woke."
It's that certain people see anything left of Jim Crow as "woke."

We have our own fascist history that we can compare them to.

Ironically, the same people who taught me that "we need to follow God's laws, not the law of the land" when it came to the legalization of same-sex marriage...

are the same ones refusing to follow God's laws about welcoming immigrants because they need to "follow the laws of the land."

When Jesus said, "you will know them by their fruit," this is what he meant.

The fruit is not simply rotten. The fruit is death itself.

The removal of due process isn't new.

It's been used to justify police murdering Black people, because "they had drugs in their system."

It allowed white people to "justify" lynchings.

It was used to "justify" genocide of Indigenous people.

This has always been the tactic of white supremacy.

Fun Easter fact to share with your conservative family during dinner:

The Greek word that is translated "risen" in "He is risen" is ἐγείρω,
which simply means "to get up."

However, it is also used as "to get up from sleep" or "to wake up."

So, "He is woke" is also a correct statement for Easter.

Maundy Thursday is a reminder that the same Jesus that lowered himself to wash feet, is the same Jesus invoked to celebrate the "deportation" of innocence to death camps.

It's ironic that so many Christians will celebrate the resurrection of life this weekend while having worshipped death all week

We're going to do it a little differently: each episode will have a guest co-host to join us in exploring the text.

Any time I being up Nazis being a Christian movement, I always get someone saying "Hitler wasn't a Christian" as a means to discredit the statement.

Christofascism isn't about being Christian, is about using Christian supremacy to gain power and carry out the logical conclusion of that theology.
April 15, 2025 at 11:47 AM
When I was younger, I was always told about the persecution Christians would face if liberals gained power.
They would ban books, restrict access to schools, remove children from families, make public displays illegal, restrict the job market, and much more. 🧵

Just because we outsourced our concentration camps doesn't mean we aren't a fascist nation.

We have the ability to end hunger, poverty, and political violence (everything Jesus said he came to end in Luke 4:18), but won't because "those people" might benefit.

Some people even create entire platforms spreading fear of "those people."

In the end, we make the choice to keep the harm.
