I think (actually "fear" is more accurate) is that Trump may have the capacity to bully to the point of even the Nobel committee acquiescing to him--just as the universities have done here.
Yes, no telling *what such an award would make him feel empowered to do. And even worse, the idea that he could bully such an august body as that into kowtowing to him just really illustrates how bad he has made things worldwide.
Yes, "A poet and a one-man band". I found all of his lyrics to be poetry. One of my all time faves at ages 25 and 75, "So, I'll continue to continue to pretend, my life will never end and flowers never bend in the rainfall." The Boxer, so many.....
What some kids won't do to get back at the meanies in the high school cafeteria! His own uncle's quote in the Politico article on Stephen was so insightful--"Stephen, was famously recovering from the hardships of his high school cafeteria in Santa Monica". The suffering wrought is epic evil.
I think--perhaps--part of that came from everyone across the spectrum kind of jointly deciding that trying to figure out why he does anything can be a fool's errand. His "reasoning"process can be nonsensical to nefarious to just plain non-existent. NOT a good excuse, but there you are.
A clever way of saying, "I have no idea what the fuck I am talking about." Next question should have been, "SO HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS IF YOU CANNOT EXPLAIN IT?"
Yes, thank you. This is *exactly why we sometimes never follow-up with certain shows....your use of the word gonzo is great! I know sometimes they might feel a need to come on really strong out of the gate, but that can end up putting some people off.
Even in our very conservative high school in the 1960s, they taught us about Hitler's Big Lie Theory, with the same explanation. It is (paradoxically) easier for people to believe an outrageous lie.
