The first Mech of the Scouring Sands is painted! (First mech I've painted in like...a decade or so? sheesh, where does the time go?) Paints used in comments. One Mech down, 8 more to go! Closer look at the mech in a 3/4 front view. I buggered up one of the yellow stripes, oops. I'm tempted to go get a light green spray to base the whole model in to avoid all those little 'bare' primer spots... Paints used: Citadel Black Templar Contrast, Vallejo Jade, Sand Yellow, & Brass. Base is Agrellan Badland technical, the ring is a Sharpie Gloss Black paint pen. The wash is Agrax Earthshade.

I picked up the #AlphaStrike back when it came out. It comes to the table every few years for a skirmish or two. I was very excited when Aces (solo system) was announced. Now it's here with Scouring Sands, a Full 20+ Branching mission Campaign for AlphaStrike! #battletech #ACES #mechs #miniatures

Stepped out on the deck last night to get a pic of a cloud formation that was backlit & doing that Silver Lining thing. Camera fogged up going from AC to 104% Humidity, & the original shot had a severe '70s Soft Focus effect going on. But, DxO fixed it in the darkroom! #photography #micro43 #cloud

Time to try the Solo campaign in Paper Wars Issue 109 for Burning Banners! It is called The Sunlit War, and it pits the Oathborn Dwarves against the Orcs! A short scenario, it's only 1 Year long, 3 Turns. It is setup to use the basic rules. #compassgames #burningbanners #paperwars #wargame #fantasy
