looking fully at home in a lush 'Renaissance Spirea,' aka Vanhouette Spirea, which seems fitting given the author's name & initials, oui? Oh, and I did read some poems to the jazzy azalea! 🌺 Started with this poem on surrender. Took it slow. :)

you study my hand, the small
doeskin glove of it, freshly alum-
tawed & laid out
for staking, your thumb

already pressing
a warning to the watchful
rabbit-pulsing at my wrist

reminding us,
this must be a slow
and patient exercise. I hear

the collector's instinct
in your questions,
swallow the urge
to bolt & answer
