First up, a loose guide to common merch items versus their ease of being produced for beginners. ✨

An art merchandise production difficulty guide created by Zandra Illustration with 4 categories: Beginner Friendly, Beginner/Intermediate Mix, Intermediate, and Difficult.

Beginner Friendly items use printing services, have low Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), low cost, ease of ordering, and lots of options. This includes handmade stickers, print service stickers, lanyards, art prints, and print on demand items.

Beginner/Intermediate Mix items can have easy or medium difficulty depending on where you go. Acrylic keychains are under this category.

Intermediate items require manufacturing, have a higher MOQ, have multiple designs, & have mold/setup fees. In this category are enamel pins, PVC Keychains, Stickerbooks, handmade and service Screen Print Apparel, Memo/Notepads, Washi Tape, & phone grips.

Difficult items require complex manufacturing, have the highest MOQ, high sample costs, and expensive shipping. In this category are custom bags, manufactured apparel, socks, and plushies.
