I was reminded recently that beyond the abject cruelty and flagrant abuse of power and defiance of the law - these facilities are here to make money off the misery of the people they have wrongly detained. Just more outrageous grift from this administration.

This man's story isn't getting enough attention. See the comments for more information. I just donated to his go fund me for medical bills after ICE smashed his head in & told healthcare workers he did it to himself by beating his head against a brick wall. ICE learned that from Russian propaganda.
ICE told nurses this Minneapolis man “purposefully ran headfirst into a brick wall.”
What actually happened is that they pulled him from a car, beat him so viciously with a steel baton that he had 8 skull fractures, 5 life-threatening brain hemorrhages, and couldn’t remember he had a daughter.

80 year old neighbor just taken to hospital. Most likely a stroke. Live in a difficult are to traverse. It took way too much time/effort to get him from house to ambulance. Was getting ready to play air hockey with his grandson.
